The story

Very early in the morning Mr Young versys and i meet at Shell PS after Sungai Besi toll. Then we droved off to MTDC car park where  we meet with other PCC members for the flag off. At 7:30 we start off in a convoy of about 30 cyclists. We were at the back of the convoy just to gave way to the younger cyclists. Everybody cycled at their own pace and in no time they disappeared from us. At first I was trying to catch up with them without knowing it implication on me. Later on Mr Young (a veteran Cyclist) told me that I shouldn't be following them because they are too fast for me and i will drain my energy very fast.

The route was undulating and at one point we had to climb a very steep slope. There was where i have to used up all my energy until nothing was left in me. We had to stop at a warong for the breakfast and we had coffe and Lempeng bakar (Malaysian pancake) with tasty curry.

  1. The first thing that l learned from Young is that i must try to conserve my energy in cycling by maintaining a certain level of heart beat,a comfortable speed and maximize the momentum of a bicycle going down and up the slope.
